Right, for our last blog while we are on our travels. It's been an amazing roller coaster of 14 months - highs and lows and now we are in our very last week in LA and of our travels.

The week started with all of us sick....which hampered our plans a little. None of us had any motivation to do anything! Poor Ryan had to put up with all of us in a grumpy mood.

Nick did manage to round up some energy and visited Newport Beach with Ryan where they played beach American football and hit the waves. All Helen and Sarah could manage was a little walk to the car, drive to the local shops and have a pedicure which was bliss by the way.

Baby Rey came down for the weekend and we all hit Sea world, which was jam packed full of tourists but thankfully we all had a 'fast pass' which meant we could jump the queue for all of the rides! The shows were good but Helen and Nick were in constant discussion about the size of the aquariums....but we'll leave that for another day!

The only drama we endured this week was that after all the drama of Helens engagement ring getting stolen, while we managed to order another one (the exact same style from the same jewellers!) the ETA for the arrival was Tuesday...the very same day we were due to fly home. We were constantly tracking it online and hoping it would arrive before we leave for the airport at noon. Time was ticking away and thankfully it came an hour before we were due to leave - thanks Fed Ex!!!!

We got a shuttle bus to LAX and caught our flight home with no hassle. The flight was enjoyable thanks to numerous new release movies with subtitles, but it also meant that when we arrived at Heathrow we didn't have any sleep. We were out for the count on the flight from Heathrow to Manchester where we were met by Helen's parents (and a small welcome home banner....).
