After living it up in a real house with our wonderful friends and family for the last week it has set in that we really are on the last leg of our trip. I'm sure we will find some more excitement before home!
Today we have left my loved hometown Bathurst ... One week late for the great race but we did manage to secure ourselves front row tickets to watch it on our new d*** smith LED TV... Talk about glamping!
We spent 2 nights in Griffith NSW in order to be able to watch the race and then headed to Dubbo. Coming along the Parkes road into dubbo was a very familiar one as for the first 2 years of Clint and my relationship we travelled every weekend along this road as clint was living in albury ... What commitment hey!
We spent 3 nights in dubbo and was so great to see our beautiful friends, cook in a full kitchen and have the luxuries of a house... Simple Things like that are totally taken for granted!
In dubbo we visited the Zoo, and just hung around the town, we then had 4 nights in Bathurst where we tried to just hang out on the farm and enjoy the country life... We met up with a few friends for lunch at one of the pubs in town which almost ended up being dinner as well but we dragged ourselves away and headed out to pack our stuff for the next adventure! We were totally spoilt by the olds with home cooked meals and paddy spent his days on every piece of farming equipment that he could... His favorite would have to be the zero turn mower as he had the controls and killed himself laughing with each squirt of the accelerator... He even ventured onto the motorbike which is rare for special little paddy , hopefully that fear is now overcome!
So off we go over the mountains to continue our adventure!!
