Jens World Tour
After working quiet solid these past few weeks me and Katy decided to do something a bit touristy! We have made a list of things we want to do and on sunday we choose Capilinio Suspenstion Bridge! After the way i pooed my pants at hells gate i was not THAT excited but it was not scary at all - very beautiful and fun! We got up early (well 10am - don't like getting up unless its 2 digits) and got the seabus over to north vancouver. We stepped off and could hear some firmilar tunes and on the deck was a Tina Turner impersonator - she was wicked!! after exploring the town a bit (and buying a quiet a selection of fruit for katy to try later on) we headed off to Capilinio. They have made it really touristy with all those dressed up people in old fashioned clothes (i got very embrassed when trying to leave a rubbish performance we were watching when the performers called me back to the front row as i had left my camera behind!). The walk over the bridge was stunning - i don't think the noverty of the moutains here will ever wear off. We walked through the rain forest on the other side then sat and had lunch. Katy did great with all the fruits - i was like 'now this is a blueberry' some of them i had never tried either like one that smelt like a penis!!!!
Yesterday we had booked the day off and planned to go to the outside pool they have here thats built into the sea - but of course as it was a rare day off for us it was also one of those rare rainy days!! we were determined to enjoy ourselves though and so scarpped the pool and headed to playland! Its the theme park where Final Destination 3 was filmed (you know where they fall off the rollercoaster and DIE!!!!) well i told katy there were certain rides i was NOT going on but what with her successful fruit tasting i went on them all and i am still alive. Went on the actual final destination 3 rollercoaster and that drop ride the 'hellevator' where they drop you from a very very very high distance at a very very high speed. Pure terror! We loved it even though it was pouring down!! We basically had the place to ourselfs. I did think i was going to die about 20 times and would hold on to katys poor legs for dear life. Esp the rollercoaster that was made in 1958 and built from wood!! was great we went on the front (i swear though that if i was not a fatty once more i may have fell out). Was a great day.
Well its back to work now, my servers test went great and i start training this week. Not quite missing home yet as i am just loving it to much! but i do miss pie and mash?!
