Morning spent walking up to castle on hilltop overlooking town. Many steps up then paths zig zagging up to top. Castle a Venetian fortress, great views out over town/harbour and many islands dotted around. Rest of day spent mooching round town, picnic lunch beside harbour. Last two evenings in Maksarka spent with evening walks to statue on hill, around harbour and listening to orchestra and group of guys singing at free concerts in main square. Awesome atmosphere, people everywhere. Loved this place. Yesterday drove to Split, heaps of traffic along coastal road.
