Choppers Travels
Just a quick update.. i promised to update the site everytime i'm on the internet (as there's no chance of me doing it all in one go). We're in Sapa at the moment (north vietnam, 40k from China), did a couple of hours trecking this morning (well it was more of a walk down a hill, i'm sure my brovado will go once we've been on a propper treck).
We arrived here this morning after the night train from Hanoi, the train was lovely i had a cracking nights kip, there was a nice loo, no cockroaches or rats (unlike India), all in all a nice experience.
We've also been to the perfumed pagoda (i forgot my guidebook so i don't know why it's special), it was about 2 hours away by bus (just south west of Hanoi). Not much to report really, it was very busy (with flies outnumbering people about 50 to one and there were a lot of people). Me and Nic did manage to pay to go onto a cable car (the view's were lovely) and once we got to the top we came back down, unfortunately we didn't realise that the cable car was taking you to some magical caves and as such we missed them, by all intents and purposes they were very nice (oops). We also saw our first cooked cats, we'll put a picture of these on the site at some point. On a good note to get to the pagoda you have to go by boat which is very peacefull (takes around 40 mins).
Right i'm off.. will let you know what the tracking is like.. Adios
