Farewell Aus!

So we've reached the end of the line and we're about to head to the airport, but before we leave, we obviously have to document the things we'll miss .... and indeed the things we won't!

Things we will miss
Wildlife
How they call flip flops 'thongs' I won't, I think its silly!
Bottle-o / Bottle Shops - drive through off sales - genius!
Schooners of beer
Pay as you go electric BBQs (or indeed free ones)
Lagoons - gorgeous clean swimming water by the waters edge
Aboriginal culture

Racing Utes - Suped up pick up trucks that look so stupid they are actually cool
Footie - Rugby league to me and you. Its huge over here. I love it
Great Barrier Reef
Super cold beer
Apalling use of the English language -
BBQs
Going bare foot everywhere
Aussie pies. Probably better than back home. I'm still in shock
Aboriginals

Things we won't miss
Expensive beer and food
Mosquitos
The constant '18-30s party feel' the whole way up the East Coast - ie Just like England! Where did Australia go?
Bugs
The threat of deadly spiders, snakes, sharks, crocs .......

Schooners - Just over half a pint for the same price as a pint. I don't get it.
Pasta - every bloody meal. Make it stop. Pllllleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaassssssssssseeeee!
Expensive food and beer

Aussie Radio/music - its true. It is awful
'Oh my god, it's amazing!' The most widely used phrase by Birt backpackers.

So farewell to Aus and bring on New Zealand! I'm guessing here, but I think the word "bro" and "cus" will feature in this right up of New Zealand
