alex's most Excellent adventures!
Have just left cambodia and i have to say i had a great 8 days here! After my last blog woodsy and i went to visit the killing fields in Phnom Pehn and as expected this was a harrowing experience. We saw a giant glass tower which stored 80 thousands skulls, all of which were dug up from just one of the the mass graves around Phnom Pehn, otherwise known as the killing fields.
After Phnom Pehn we headed south to the cost and spent 4 days in sihinoukville! The beach here was gorgeous and we generally lazed around eating squid and baby lobster on the beach! Also randomly met stu (aka pid) from UAU FC here, was so funny and we shared a good night out as a result!
It was then back to Phnom Pehn to meet up with Woodsy's friends from Croydon who are out on holiday and were doing a visa run to cambodia from thailand! So now a group of five lads we descended on the town of Siem Reap and the famous Ankor Wat! Its a series of huge temples that were buit in the 1200's and it really is an amazing sight and truely unbelivable how they could have managed to build them!
Cambodia has been a real experience and im really glad we decided to come hear! Its alot different from anywhere else we've been and i will never forget the road trips we've had to endure here. Some of the roads cant even be described as roads, ive seen flatter farm tracks! Anyway tommorow we head back into thailand to bangkok before hitting the island of thailand for the world cup! Cant wait!
