It is a beautiful 1930s styled town due to an unfortunate earthquake meaning that everything had to be rebuilt, therefore art deco land was born! Ok, i am sorry i have neglected this blog for a while. It i amazing how slow the internet in NZ can be! I did the canyon swing which was amazing. Sat on a chair and balanced on its back two legs until i over balanced and went flying over the edge. Very scarey! Well the glacier walk was amazing! We were on the ice for about six hours and climbed up to some amazing crevices and ice compression caves, etc. Went head first through an ice cave so naturally I am covered in cuts and bruises but it was amazing fun. Frigging cold when wet though! The next day we decided to stay an extra day in Franz Josef and worked for our keep!
