Made it to Cusco with no problems and found ourselves a hostel before hitting McDonalds for breakfast! Guilty. The town is very pretty, with a main square and very colonial buildings. We organised ourselves for the next couple of days and had quite a lazy day. The next day me, hollaye, alex and kyle went to the sacred valley to look at the ruins there which were very impressive. Basically all the big ruins look like Macchu Pichu, so imagine something like that!...

At the copa.... Copacabana! Deffinately an annoying song to have stuck in your head for three days of hiking, even if I was in Copacabana! Arrived in Copa after an extremely picturesque minibus ride. Decided to splurge and pay 3 pounds to rent the entire minivan between 7 of us instead of fitting in 14 people! Also had to put the minivan on a boat and us on another boat for part of the ride! Well back in La Paz again! After doing the death road we spent the night at a lovely animal sactuary. Little huts to sleep in, swimming pool and tame monkeys! What more can someone need to overcome something like the death road! We got the bus back to La Paz after that and stayed for a couple of days doing a little sightseeing... including a wrestling match! I completed the worlds most dangerous road and lived to tell the tale. I cant say I really want to elaborate more on it though! The first section is tarmac and within about 2km of setting off I had flown off my bike and hit the afore mentioned tarmac. Grazed face and arm, brusied hip and a pulled thigh muscle. SO, the salt flat tour. Its a pretty standard 'gringo' activity but deffinately for a reason! We set off from Tupieza for a 4 day, 3 night tour ending in Uyuni.
