June 6th (Saturday) - Day 97 - Tea Gardens
After breakfast outside on the patio, the 4 of us jumped in the car and went for a drive around Tea Gardens and the surrounding area. The place was tiny, a few shops and one hotel. We quickly crossed the river and were in another little village. Again it did not take long to see all of it. We took a ride around the sand dunes where we could see the entrance to the river. We then took a ride down the coast stopping every so often to take in the view. We went as far as the head land will allow, taking in the ferry at the end. We then drove back and had some lunch. After lunch we decided to take a walk around Tea Gardens. We walked along the river being nosey looking at every boat that was moored up. We walked a really long way and even crossed the bridge looking for Koala's. We did not find any! The walk back seemed to take a long time but then we had walked a very long way. That evening we had dinner round the table again and chatted with everyone some more.
June 7th (Sunday) - Day 98 - Tea Gardens
After an early start we didn't do anything all morning. We sat in the sun for a bit and that about sums up the whole morning. That afternoon we drove over to port Stevens. Not very far away but because of the river it took a very long time to drive round. We went looking for some camel rides but could not find them. The views were stunning once again. On the way back we called into a couple of friends of Marcia's. We had some afternoon tea with them while laughing at their 2 year old grand daughter who was addicted to the moon. She kept pointing at the moon shouting "The moon, the moon". It was cute as far as little kids go! That evening we had our final meal together and watched some TV.
