So today is officially our last day to see things in Europe! We decided to take it easy today and wander around and try to find as many fountains as we can. And boy did we see some fountains! We started the day off right with some gelato post-breakfast and then commenced the walking fountain tour. We finally made it to the amazing Trevi Fountain, threw some money in backwards and made some wishes. Afterwards we also got to go see the spanish steps, which would have been slightly more breathtaking had there not been hordes of people everywhere and scaffolding around the main statue at the top of the stairs.

After finishing our tour, we made it back to the hostel in time to clean up and get ready to go out for our "nice" dinner. Keep in mind at this point in the trip, our nice clothes have been shoved to the bottom of our packs and not in the greatest of shape = ) So we made out way back to the spanish steps for dinner and started wandering around till we found something good. We found this tiny little cafe slash restaurant along on little backstreet and decided it would be as good as any! So we sat down and made our way through several courses. When we were ready to pay, another waiter came by and when we asked 'do you take credit cards?' responded with, uh no. cash only. Great! So to avoid washing dishes for the next 5 hrs, tiff ran to the restaurant nextdoor to ask where the nearest ATM would be, was told it was near the spanish steps, and then she was off!! Meanwhile, our original waiter comes back and informs me, that yes, they do actually take credit cards, sorry about the inconvenience. Thanks buddy. Meanwhile tiff is having a wonderful experience with an Italian ATM machine that doesnt seem to have an option for English.

To end the night in honor of the theme of the rest of our trip, we made it to the subway to find that, yes, the gates were closed. We spent the next 30 mins decided where would be the best place to find a taxi slash fighting off some drunk tourists that were determined to cut us in line for our rightful ride home!
