Ah it's tough being in paradise! We woke up this morning and wandered out to our private balcony that looks over the small colorful village of Riomaggiore and the other way a small ocean view. Is your mouth watering yet? We wandered over to the train station to buy our tickets for the next day to Rome, only to find out that there was a train strike scheduled for 9-5 on that day. Um.. really? So we had no choice but to leave before the strike started, very early....

Amazingly...towards the end of this train ride, the ocean popped into view! beautiful! we got off the train in the village of Riomaggiore, which is the southernmost village in Cinque Terre. our directions were pretty random: walk through a tunnel and then up the street. ok. so we did it! and ran into the office where we gave them some money, and then got walked UP to our room. and i do mean up...the building itself was up two small flights of stairs from the stre...
