Well out wandering the streets and shopping today with a friend we could not figure out why there were so many policemen directing traffice (it's usually a free for all) and a helicopter circling the city. We thought there must be some official in town. After returning home we saw this article in the paper.

A crazy man went on a killing spree killing 2 men and injurying many more in the San Lorenzo market. Veronica and I were planning to go there today to shop for hats but found some not to far away at a different stand. Thank goodness we did not make it to San Lorenzo. This is so crazy because Florence is usually so quiet and is such a safe city. Anyways thought I'd share the news!
