Well I'm still going strong!!

Perth is scorchio!! Yeah, Anne, its really cooler here, NOT!!! Lol, yeah the heats different, I think I prefer Singapore heat, atleast you could suck in a bit of moisture!! Today's the hottest so far, 39 degrees!! But its great, I shouldn't complain coz I guarantee its really cold at home!!

So wot have I been up to?? Well I went to Rottnest on Monday, as you all know. Tuesday I went on a tour to the Pinnacles Desert! Hot and dry, but I got the pics uploaded so its all good!! It was a good day. Buddied up with Niamh, a girl from Cavan. So we did it together really. We went up the coast, out first stop being Yanchup NP. There we saw koalas and kangeroos in the wild!! So cute! There's a picture there somewhere of a dark blur in the middle of light bluriness... thats a kangaroo!! Honest! After Yanchup we hit a few other settlements before finally reaching Nambung NP, home of the Pinnacles! They were pretty cool I thought! Big pillars of rock standing out of the sand! So we dandered (so hot we couldn't go much faster!) around there for a while. Oh, we had 2 reptile encounters!! First, our tour guide stopped the bus from speed (we thot we hit a roo!) and brought on board a blue tongued skink! Sooo cool!! And really cute lol. Then in the desert another tour guide brought out a snake he had found by the road side. A baby python... again sooo cute!!

Ok, where was I? Oh yes, after the Pinnacles we went to Lancelin, a beautiful seaside resort, where we went sandboarding!! Oh yes, I did it!! And it was bloody awesome!! So much fun!! Tho a facefull of sand wasn't great, so a word of advice to all, dont open your mouth while sandboarding! We also went through the sand dunes in our bus!! That was fun!! Bouncing off our seats and all over the place!! We got stuck a few times, but it being a big 4WD bus we were ok!!

Back to Perth and I got myself ready to meet Lauren, the girl I had been talking to online. She's really nice! We went to Bobby Dazzlers for a meal and a delicious bottle of Hardys wine! We chatted for a good while then explored Perth centre. So many shops!!

Wednesday I had to change rooms, coz I extended my stay by an extra 2 nites. I'm now in a room with 2 girls from Cardiff, Jess and Clare, who are really nice!! They leave on Saturday tho. Once I got settles in, I went to Qantas to get my flights changed. So they're all sorted and it only cost $40 which was brilliant! Then I met up with Lauren again and we went to Perth Zoo. We got the ferry across which was nice, thengot in for half the price of a normal ticket somehow (not that I'm complaining!!). The zoo was nice, nothing compared to Singapore Zoo tho, which is hard to beat! But they had an amazing collection of Australian animals as well as animals from across the world! We were lucky enough to be at the fishing cat enclosure (which I had been so excited to see in Singapore but didn't manage to see it) when it got fed, its so cute! Bigger than I expected! But it hid under a patch of glare off the window so I couldnt get any pics unfortunately!! All in all it was a good day, but because of the heat and stuff I just went straight back to the hostel, did some laundry ($10... outrageous!!!) then crashed out!!

Thats about it really!! I'm enjoying seeing all your messageboard comments and picture comments, tho Dad seems to be hogging that domain lol. But its good to see!!
