We arrived in Brisbane from Noosa. This was the biggest place we had visited so far and for some reason it was packed out the night we arrived. We rang over ten hostels who were all fully booked out for the night, we managed to find one hostel who said they had availabilty but only in a delux double room which would cost the price of five nights stay in a dorm! We had to take it as we had no other choice and this ended up being a nice little treat in a way.
Overal we spent four days in Brisbane covering as much of the city as possible on both sides of the river. On the last day we went to a workshop to hand paint a boomerang as this was something that was included in our package deal that we brought up in Cairns. This was a right laugh as Nathan is crap at drawing and painting. We then packed up all our stuff and spent two hours in the post office filling out customs forms and sending it all back home.
We left Brisbane for Surfers Paradise, this time pre-booking a hostel to stop any drama's happening. This was a great place with plenty of shopping malls etc, we ended up going to the Casino the first night at four in the morning to watch the football which danielle wasn't too happy about being up that early. We then spent a few days on the beach and exploring the place, then we had ANZAC day which was crap as nothing was open all day!
The last few days of our time in Surfers where spent at Dreamworld (the theme park) and Seaworld. These were great places and two amazing days out especially Seaworld where a very embaressed danielle was pulled out out of the crowd during the Seal show and made to give Clide the seal a huge before he gave her a big kiss in return! The next day we left for Byron Bay.
