Nat and Nik's Adventures
Gday from Adelaide! It is a really nice city. It is small and has more old buildings than high rises which makes a welcome change! We spent our time here in Sunny's backpackers, a small hostel with really nice staff and it was very cosy. The first thing we did was go to Adelaide zoo where we saw lots of animals and even saw lions being fed! We have been to a few zoos now, and they are all pretty similar, but i never get tired of seeing the lovely animals. Our next day was spent getting up early to get to Glenelg on the outskirts of the city to go with Temptation Sailing out on a nice catamaran to go dolphin swimming. It was amazing! The water was freezing, even in the wetsuits we were given, but we went in several times and got so close to the dolphins. It was a little murkey under water but I managed to see them there as well as above the water! It was an amazing experience, one i will never forget!
We also did a tour of the city, including an Aborigional gallery with a didgeridoo performance and a free tour of a chocolate factory, (yes - we did get free chocolate! ) The area by the river is particularly nice and i got some nice photos. After going to the art gallery and botanical gardens, we had an early night so we could catch the early bus to Melbourne. I liked Adelaide very much.
