We ended up spending 3 nights in our shiny hotel room. Nha Trang really felt like we had ended up in a Russian resort, but it had really good food so naturally we spent longer there to make our way around all the restaurants.
We were pretty lazy tbh, we took a trip down to the oceanography museum which was a strange cross between an aquarium and lab, with one room full of jars of specimens. Strangely charming, fitting in with the rest of the city!
One evening we went up the skylight, an open bar 43 floors up with panoramic views of Nha trang at night. It was a stunning location where we could see a thunderstorm across on a small island, the same thunderstorm which completely drenched us later in the evening when we were siting on the beach. Instead of hiding we decided to walk home whilst Tash sang 'singing in the rain' at the top of her voice.
We also found a trendy BBQ place, where we had the most amazing shrimps of the trip, marinated in wasabi they were beautifully cooked and spiced.
In honesty, I'm not sure what we did for 4 days apart from eat and take advantage of the £1 cocktails - Russians sure like to drink!!
