We woke up earlier than we had been today to make sure we got some breakfast before the orientation began. Our laundry returned around 7:30am and it smells fresh and clean and ready to sail!
After breakfast we spent most of the day in the Mayflower Suite (a conference room) going through our orientation. We covered a ton of material and had lunch and then covered another ton of material. Has to be done right? We have some incredible faculty sailing. I will tell you about a few of them as we sail.
After orientation we headed out with new friend/faculty member Amber Johnson and went to the dollar store for shampoo, detergent, etc. and came back to the room. Tomorrow we embark at 1pm so I know we won't have much access to wifi after that so I made sure I had a good facetime chat with the sweetest friend ever Cathy McNeela and then we headed out for dinner. We can't wait to get on the ship tomorrow!
Here are some interesting statistics about our voyage:
This is the 116th voyage
465 Students
46 Life Long Learners
215 Different colleges and universities are represented
12% are international students
