We just had the best two days. August 16th was our anniversary and to celebrate we threw an 80's party in the Glazer Lounge. Costumes were optional but a lot of the faculty, staff and Life Long Learners dressed up and it was hilarious. Our third day in Poland we had the opportunity to visit Stuthoff Concentration Camp. Of course we learned about concentration camps in school and we have read books on the subject. You think you know, but there is no experience so powerful as visiting a place where more than 85,000 people were murdered. Today we got on the shuttle bus and headed to the train station in Gdansk. We visited Sopot today, which is a beautiful resort town about 25 minutes north of Gdansk. As we have journeyed for the past 60 or so days, we have found that train stations are a great place to get frustrated. You know where you want to go, but you have to know so much more. We have arrived in our last port. We have mixed emotions for sure.
