welp. i'm back in uganda now. travelling all on my own now. its really refreshing but kind of lonely.
so i suppose i have lots of updates. Kigali was an amazing city. it is really cool to see how rwanda has put its aid money to really good use. it just seems so much more safe and developed than the other countries i have been in. i said goodbye to mollie on thursday and the boys and i headed up to ruyengari which is the volvanos that are at the border of the congo and uganda. this also happens to be home to the famous mountain gorillas. we stayed in this totally sketch geust house and met some cool british girls. the hike to the gorillas was super intense but toally worth it. we got to hang out with a colony of over 20 gorillas and we were within inches of a few. it was definitly one of the better hours spent in africa. it definitly was a different experience than the genocide memorial so i'm glad i saw the happy side of the country too. right after gorillas i left the boys and booked it back to kigali. i treated myself to a pretty nice hotel which felt great. i went to nyamata memorial where over 40,000 people are "burried". the church is filled with all the clothes of those killed and the ceiling is filled with bullet holes. it was a totally different experience than the memorial in kigali. alot more in your face for sure.
now i'm back in kampala trying to get everything together so I can fly back to nairobi over the next couple of days. i was going to travel a little more but to be quite honest. i'm totally burned out. i'm ready to be done travelling. and be totally boring and stop eating s***ty food.
needless to say i am really excited for my parents to get here in two weeks. and then to be home in another month.
anywho...thats all for now.
