This is our last travel blog as we pack up and get ready to head home. Our 3 weeks have been great and we have spent the last day reminiscing about all the wonderful places we've been. Sevilla - known for Flamenco dancing, Don Juan, Carmen and where Christopher Colombus ended up. The day started with a light rain which was welcomed, but it was hot a muggy. We walked awhile to the large (main) Cathedral of Seville, another awesome sight, and climbed the 35 floors to the top of Giraldi Bell Tower which gave us beautiful views of the city. We picked up our car at the Cordoba train station a couple days ago. Took us about 1 hour just to figure out how the key, the brakes, the shifts, etc worked. Mary Kay was the first driver as Nancy the Navigator tried to figure out way out of Cordoba. We stopped in a small town, Alcala (?) for lunch then onto Granada. Since we last left you at our roof top terrace bar, we went to dinner that night at a great place called My Donkey and Me. We had a great time with our Portuguese waiter, Nelson and we were serenaded to the sounds of "Guantanamero" (or one ton of marijuana as I like to call it). We arrived in Cordoba yesterday afternoon via the AVE fast train. Stayed at Hotel Conquistador across from the Mesquite. The Mesquite dates back to 700 AD and was originally a Mosque. In the 1500's the Christians took over and made it a Church, but it still has many characteristics of a mosque making it quite unique.
