Well i've made it to lijiang in the yunnan province , i,ve been here for a couple of days now , it seems like age's since i left Beijing . From Beijing i went to Xi'an to see the Terracotta Warriors , which for such a big draw were really disappointing , you can't get very close and there cover in a huge building that looks like a railway station . I stopped in Xi'an for 3 days lots of other people at the hostel , which made a good atmosphere and you could drink all night for about 5 pounds !!! on the first night there i went to a night club with 3 mexicans , 3 french , 1 american , 1 canadian , 2 irish and a german . strange nightclub you couldn't buy beer from the bar , you had to buy it from a shop inside the nightclub but 1.5 litre bottles of vodka for 8 pounds made up for that . Leaving Xi'an was the craziest part of the trip so far . Tring to get into the train station , there must have been 500 million people all tring to get in at the same time . It took over an hour just to get into the station , got on the train about 5 minutes before it left .

From Xi'an i went to Chengdu with the 2 irish , canadian and american . It's a nice place not as manic as everywhere else , i ended up staying for 4 days in a loft stlye appartment for 2 pounds a night . First full day there we all hired a mini bus for the day and went to a giant panda breeding base , after watching them for a couple of hours , i think pandas are the stupidist animals alive . From there we went to Leshan to see the Grand Budda which is 71m high and carved into the cliff face , it's an awesome sight when your stood at the bottom . Spent the rest of the time wondering round the city and chilling out !!

I went to Lugu Hu Lake next with the american guy . It's an awesome place surrouned buy mountains on all sides . Spent a couple of days treking , going up one mountain nearly killed me . It was 3000m above see level . We stopped in a cabin five feet from the lake for 1 pound . I've had to come down to Lijiang to get up to Tiger Leaping Gorge where i'm going trekking for 3 or 4 days . After that i'll be heading to Laos for a month , where i'm planning on doing nothing except laying in a hammock all day cathing the sun , as i've not had any hot weather since i've been away .
