happy easter monday.....we have had the campervan for 2 weeks now and we have to hand it back tomorrow..once our stuff has been cleared out of it! we seem to have accumlated and spread all our stuff all over the van (moslty ali!!!).

so we have been to Wisemans Ferry, along the hawksbury river...when we arrived there it was pitch black...and we could see so many stars...it was amazing...i have never ever seen so many stars in all my life....it was beautiful. we then headed to stockton, newcastle where our camp site was on the beach....it was gorgeous and the waves were really good.

we then drove to shoal bay, port stephens where we went on a dolphin criuse on a catermerang...me and ali sat in the boom net which was amazing!!! we then drove to up to the hunter valley where we went on a tour of 5 vineyards, cheese shop and chocolate shop....we were all a lttle tipsy by about 11.30am...we got picked up at 10am and we got literally droppped off at 5.30pm....a very long day!!! the hunter valley is where they make most australian wine...although most of the grapes are not actually grown there.

after that we headed back out to the coast to port mcquarie...where we stayed at flynns beach camp site....it was a little scary...felt like we were in the outback. donna went for a shower in the dark...ran back to the van and freaked us all out...so we locked ourselves in the van....very funny!!! before that though we went to the local observatory...where we saw jupiter and the moon....it was amazing. we met a guy from huddersfield who did a little lecture on the universe and things...it made us all speechless....and as you can probably imagine...that doesnt happen very often!!!

in the morning, we went to a koala santuary...it was good but a little old.then we drove up to emerald beach, coffs harbour. this was such a good campsite and there were wild kangeroos jumping around the site.....we couldnt actually believe it!

after staying there went to byron bay...i love it here...much more for the backpackers....busy, good surf and good bars!! we went out on the tuesday night...met some randoms thursday we went sea kayaking...i love it...that was so amazing. i shared mine with the instructor. it was such hard work....esp getting past the breakers...but it was amzaing and as we headed further out ino the sea the swell was about 5-6m high...it was soo goood. ali freaked out abit-she was so scared but did really well. the boat only capsized twice....so that was good. i just loved it. we saw dolphins too. as you head back into shore the breaking waves actually push you in...unless you get capsized...as we all did. donna actualy got catapulyed out of her boat straight over the top of ali!!!

after byron bay...we went to wet and wild campsite.....it was full of ferrel people and their ferrel children...but it was ok. the wet and wild theme park was so good though...we got there about 10am and left at 4pm...we were all so tired. we stopped that night in kirra beach, coolangatta....just south of surfers paradise. the beach was massive there.....so wide and long and the sand was so soft and white. when we got to the site we started getting stuff ready for tea....i was having tomatoes on toast. ali-eggs on toast and donna cheese on toast...then as everything was ready we discovered that the bread was bloody mouldy!!! we went down to the beach, got pizza and wine.....so it tunred out ok after all!!!

we stayed there for 3 nights over the weekend and now we are in brisbane. we are handing the van back tomorrow....probably stop in brisbane for a few dyas then i will be finding work...i have NO money...hence i am eating toast and thats about it!! its all fun...always can afford a beer though!!!!

i have herad that the weather is not very good back home...i would love to say it has been the same here but we have been really lucky with the weather. it has only rained at night or when we have been driving....it hasnt interfered with anything. its now getting more humid as we go further north which means more rain...but also much warmer. i hope you are all ok. lots of love x x x
