So today we had a lot of walking ahead of ourselves. With lunch we had one of Flo's cakes which is usually for Christmas but it was a sponge cake rolled up with chocolate icing on the rolls and on the outside.
After lunch we got ready to go to the old town. In the old town at Lyon there is 2 hills with nice views and towns at the top. We went to the second one today with a very large cathedral up the top. To get to the top there was about 500 stairs. Instead of walking up we caught a mini train that took us there and when we were ready to walk down we took the stairs. Very steep and very long! When we came down it was just at sunset so about 5:00. We walked through the old streets and through old passages that were used during the war and I was able to buy a few souvenirs. This is something I love about france, the old buildings and the history behinde it all from a many years ago. Where as in Australia a lot of it is modern so seeing these older things in France is something I really love doing.
