Gold Coast

Gold Coast was cool, as we had booked our own apartment. We got the train from Brisbane down to Gold Coast as soon as the rain had stopped. By time we got the connecting bus it was dinner time, so we ordered a pizza and settled down to a night of Australia’s got talent. Luckily we had some wine left so we went through a few glasses each and then hit the sack..the pillows and bed were amazing!!! so nice to be comfortable, the bed in Brisbane had springs sticking out of it everywhere and in fraser island we slept in a tent so very grateful for the bed. The following day we spent most of it trying to get a taxi home from the supermarket with our food (and 2more boxes of goon, we actually love the stuff). When we got home we skyped mum and michaela and then mich came on so we spoke to her. Throughout the few days we spent there we used to go to the canal outside the apartment and sit on the grass reading the magazines we stole from the apartment pool. They were so old though prob a year or more old so we didn’t really know what was going on, and in one magazine a couple were loved up and the next magazine they had broken up...was hard to keep up! We did get chatted up by these boys who were about 11 and kept walking past us saying helloooo ladies! We made some nice dinners when we were there (being as we had our own apartment) that consisted of chilli, nachos, fajitas, pasta bake...all on different days but we always seemed to have leftovers, alot more than anticipated. We also managed to get MARMITE....so we were very happy with that.
One of the days we walked into town and spent some money in souvenir shops (bloody souvenir shops, we spent most of our money there on crap no one will actually want) and then headed down the beach. It was quite hot so we sat there watching the group of men char had spotted then headed back to the apartment for our fave tv. We were trying to save money so staying in the apartment and drinking our 3 boxes of wine and one bottle in 6days did us well :) we really enjoyed chilling out. We managed to skype (well msn) emz one day as well so was great to see and hear from her. Also we met Al one day and he came round for dinner, we fed him all our leftovers and later cooked him sausage and mash. He seemed to enjoy it and it was good to see him again. Also he did most of the cooking so was even better. One of the nights we watched don’t tell the bride... we love that program then got all weddingy so watched four weddings on the laptop and decided we wanted someone to get married soon so we can go their wedding...come on people stop being so selfish!! Gold Coast was awesome it was like a mini miami,sunshine,beaches, nice views...alcohol...what morecould you ask for.

The following day it was time to leave (boooo) to go to sydney (yeyyy) of course it started to piss it down as it does everywhere when we try to leave, I see it as flattering haha. And we got taxi to the airport ready for our flight to Sydney...
