The Sullivan European Holiday
Today we had a small sleep in before heading out. We caught a double decker bus which was really amazing when you were at the top. You had a far better view then what normal buses give. We got off at the famous Oxford street and it was bustling with people. The weather was cloudy and steady rain was consistent. Umbrellas were needed to protect us from the cold wind that came from the south. We split up into two groups and headed in completely opposite directions. Mum, James, Harry and I headed along the Strand towards Covent Garden while Ben and Dad headed to some British Museum. We went to a bookshop called Waterstones and I bought Skeleton Key, Alex rider. As the rain continued we did a little shopping for a umbrella, jumper and a backpack.
In Covent Garden we enjoyed our sandwiches under shelter before catching another double decker bus to Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. Both were very impressive structures with a bunch of tourists and umbrellas.
Next we headed along the tube to Harrods at Knightsbridge. Very posh, with lots of gold trimmings and security staff. Upstairs in the vast toy section we checked out all the lego. Mum wouldn't let us buy any lego yet.
After some more shopping we then took the Double Decker bus home, had a play in the Park and helped mum with the shop.
Whilst the apartment is very nice it has no internet and washing facilities. The washing machine is broken and there is no wireless which is proving quite frustrating to mum and dad.
