The Hope Outside Gallery exists because someone started to build the foundation for condos and did not finish. The concrete vertical slabs were canvases waited to be painted. During the weekend I could not get near it to park but on the weekday I eventually found a spot however there were only a few artists at work. Anything anywhere in the area gets painted.

Sunday afternoon was moving for me as I moved to the Adams House in the Hyde Park portion of Austin. The Adams house is over 100 years old (no big shakes for me as I live in a converted barn which is also over 100 years old) so my kind of property. The Adams House is also in walking distance of restaurants, grocery store and the post office - perfect to mail packages to my grandkids. Quiet neighbor with a bit to do and I did not have to drive.

In the afternoon I took a short tour which included a visit to the capitol. The Austin capitol building is amazing. When you drive down Congress street the capitol is at the end of the street. The pink granite building is gorgeous inside and out. The picture is looking up from the first floor to the top of the dome. Circular staircases wind up to the top.
