I have taken my last train ride, rented my last car, stayed at my last hotel and washed my last load of laundry on the road. My mother in law used to say no matter how great a trip one takes it is always wonderful to get back to your own home. I think this is true. The closer I got to going home the more I missed my grandkids. I see the Facebook postings and they are changing so much, especially the baby. I feel so grateful for having been able to take this trip. It astonishes me the sequence of events that had to transpire to make this possible. I do know a door opened and one thing I have learned for sure is when a door opens go through it. Everywhere along the way I met people who said they wished they done such a trip or they had a similar type dream that they have given up on. Some people have told me they felt inspired to go for it and do more. I am grateful for all the well wishes friends and family have sent and all those that encouraged me along the way.
