Awoke after a rather sleepless night due to non-working air conditioning. Windows were open so insects attacked but most ended up smudged on bedroom ceiling thanks to me losing my temper and swinging my shirt around.

Well. We're off travelling again! Washing done, bags repacked and family and friends bid farewell. This time we are majoring on France which we purposely missed out completely on the Interrail trip and possibly a bit of northern Italy if our Milan experience didnt put us off completely. The itinerary has the Somme at the start and a week with friends in the South of France at the end but worryingly for me a 3 week gap in the middle. I'm hoping for cookery and french lessons but the …
