Wayne's & Bonnie's Travels
Good news – I passed my gluttony exam last night. It was our 2nd formal night and I could not decide between the lobster tail and crab cake or the chateaubriand, so I changed the Boolean operator from or to and which solved the problem. I did feel it about 3 in the morning but it was worth it. We are enjoying our table with the 3 Brit couples. The ex-dock worker, Barry, is our lovable curmudgeon but is actually quite fun. Our server, Lena from the Ukraine, is one of the best we have had.
We spent the day in Puerto Madryn, Argentina. It is a very pretty resort city of 75,000 about half way up the coast of Argentina. The long beach stretches along a curved bay. It was our 1st warm day in about a week and we really enjoyed the cloudless sky. Bonnie and I and another couple from the ship went for a walk along the beach to a point where an Eco Center is located at the end of the bay. On left was the beach and on the right were gorgeous (and probably expensive) homes. The walk took over an hour. At the point at the end of the bay were ruins of the original Welsh settlement from the mid 1800's. We walked back to town, found an ATM to get some pesos, and then found a beach front restaurant for some wine and a snack. After about 6 hours we were warm and tired so we walked back to the ship for some R & R.
