Nicaraguans love futbol! This entire trip, the World Cup games have been on in every restaurant, cafe, bar, and store. While surfing, we were also watching the Costa Rica / Greece futbol match. It was an exciting game, and Costa Rica eventually won in Panalty Kicks. After the game ended, Colin and hs new friend Sumi (who is also a heavyweight boxer) put on some reggae music and did some celebratory dancing!

The pacific coast of Nicaragua is a big surfing area. So, the boys and I decided to do some surfing! We went with a local group to a very remote beach - and had a wonderful day. We definitely needed lessons, but within the first hour, we all figured out how to get up and ride. We then spent the next 4 hours doing a combination of surfing and falling!

Sometimes we're so busy taking photos of the kids, the scenery, and local sights - we forget to take the occasional pictures of ourselves. Its 8am on Sunday morning. I'll bet Reagan and I haven't even had a cup of coffee yet (Colin doesn't drink coffee - he's only ten). But we have enough natural energy to be doing crazy jumps into pool, with a beautiful view of San Juan del Sur bay behind and below us. I think it's going to be a great day!

An enjoyable ride from Granada, to San Juan del Sur. It rained most of the day, so crusing to the southern Pacific coast in an air-conditioned van is a great way to pass a rainy afternoon.
