These were some of the monkey's I spent the week with in Playa Hermosa. By far the most visible and friendly in all the areas we have visited so far. Our last night in Playa Hermosa was also the night of our big birthday bash. Andrew Keenan (18), Mike Keenan (50), and Reagan Shelly Keenan (47) are all celebrating birthdays during the month of July. On the menu for our dinner? FISH. We caught almost 40 fish earlier in the week, and the chefs who came to the house were able to use what we caught earlier in the week. As a matter of fact, they used 6 of the 40 fish, and took the rest home for their families! ...

I got a kick out of this one. Wasn't the kind of thing that could be photographed. Michael, Colin & myself were taking a drive to check out a new area. We were heading back home and running toward us was a big bull trying to get away from two Costa Rican cowboys on their horses wanting to lasso him. Along the beach in Playa Hermosa, there are a number of mango trees. And, the trees are full of fruit this time of year. So the monkeys come down from the higher mountains in order to feast on the mangos. What I love about this photo is how it captures one of the howler monkeys having his morning meal!

Great day fishing! Everyone caught multiple fish. They keep telling me the names, and I can't remember them - but they are pretty, meaty, nice fish! We have a chef coming to the house Thursday night for our end of week celebration. I called and cancelled the dinner order - and told them we have plenty of fresh fish for dinner!
