On the 13th March 2009, I together with Nelson, the Project Manager and Fiona, the Drama Director went to the CHWs and Local Leaders training in Basic HIV & AIDS knowledge and skills and STDs and reproductive health in Kuruk, Mt. Hagen. The training was for 5 days and was facilitated by Tommy and Pr. Alonsa, HIV & AIDS Trainers and Ivo Theater Trainer. One teacher (a participant) in the training said that all years she has taught, she has been leaving out reproductive health related topics because she lacked the skills of passing this information to the learners but now after attending this training she will confirtably teach these topics, now that she has gotten the skills, thanks to TokautAIDS and AngliCareStopAIDS for organizing the training. This week (16-20th March 09), the participants are now undergoing training in theater to acquire extra skills to enable then reach out to the communities effectively.
