We arrived in Mammoth Cave, KY just around 4pm with an outside temperature of 106 degrees (I have a picture of the thermometer). We set up camp at site #5 and was welcomed by either lunch or dinner... a chicken. The staff is very nice and accommodating - offering information on local activities, emergency information, dining choices and directions to the best homemade chocolates in the area. Tomorrow we will kayak The Green River through Mammoth Cave National Park and enjoy the cool waters that flow through the caverns. Tomorrows' temperature is expected to be another triple digit... it may be time to move on to a cooler location after spending a another day or two in KY.
