3 men walk in to a bar, BANG,
Well after another night out partying (this time to some House breaks) in Ko Chang, we have a bus the next day,
I wake up with 15 mins till the taxi leaves, b***** sprung to mind, fling my stuff together blag a lift to the pick up point and only just get there in time. Phew
so me robin and 14 or so others in a mini bus, i pass round my little bag of blue love, Valium, and knock out the whole bus lol, made for a easy 1st half of the trip.
get to the border and wow, you can see the difference already, thai is very Rich to Cambodia, its going to be very different here i think.
after a hour we get though immigration, change on to a new bus, as we leave to travel down the MAIN ROAD from border to seam reap we are told the road is very bad as the airport bribe the government to not fix it so more people fly, nice. the road we are told is dubbed "dancing road" thats a silly name i thought,
No,
once on "dancing road" witch is in fact a bloody dirty track, everyone starts bouncing and flying about in there seats, this is going to be a routh ride, but should be in by 6pm.............. 10pm we arrive at the drivers uncles hotel.....sup prise surprise it take so long to get there that they take you to a hotel......hmmmmmmm
place was nice though $6 shared so cheap! at check in they try and sell us some weed and we have a few beers, i like cambodia already,
next day we hire a tuk tuk for the whole day at the grand cost of $7 each, and head for the much awaited Temples of Angkor Wat,
the place is stunning, blew me away man,
education time
Created from 9th century to the 13th century with a populating of over 1 million (more then treble london at that time)
also where tomb raider was filmed.......yes yes
tracked around all day and some s*** that just made me feel tiny! but just look at the photos, i wont go on.
After that we needed a drink to soak it all in, went to Bar Street and meet some cool people and lost a lot of games of pool.
Next day had a bus to phnom phen, took all day, but mr Valium helped out there.
at once very remote village stop we got out and where swarmed with beggars and people selling massive trays of fryed spiders, they looked nasty man, one lady came out with some lives ones! dirty
got in to town had a few beers and settled down,
together with robin and new zeland and check person we head out in the tuk tuk to the Killing Field, a place of mass genocide during the pol pot regime. in the 4 years of war just under 2 million people where killed and tourcherd inc women, children and teachers among anyone else they wanted.
the 1st site was a memory monument, over 8985 skulls of the victims, this was a lot to take in, then mass graves some 6 meters deep with over 450 people in, clothes and bone coming out of the ground everywhere, to be honest it was the worst thing i have ever seen. i hopped to the toilet and had a little cry. im man enough to admit that.
after that was s-21 a secondary school the pol pot took over to use as a prison and touchier camp before taken to the Field for execution, this was bad, tiny cells, touchier equipment, 1000's of photos of all the victims before and after, some as old as 2 years old, some tourcherd for days on end.
as a result the average age in Cambodia is 15 YEARS OLD! can you believe that,
after all that i scored a bag of weed the size of my hand and got a bit pissed and stoned, lost more games of pool was a hard day in paradice.
just moved to a floating hotel, really nice view of sunset still lovely and cheap, leave for loa's tom, will update then ay!
cambodia is my favorite country so far, everyone is so happy and mucking about, always always smileing, everyone is always very happy to see you and chat,.
peace love and rocks in bread
