Hello. This is not what australia looks like at the moment, there are indeed LOADS of kangaroos, sorry, agile wallabies, but there is no sun at all. We've been up tp port douglas and the beaches up there and it looked like it would be really nice were there not thick fog all over it. But we're still having fun and are looking forward to Melbourne tomorrow where we'll stay with rachell's auntie and uncle for 3 nights- can't wait for a proper house! Will keep my ey...

Just spent a great 24 hours on magnetic island, so called beacuse captain cook's compass was going all wrong when he discovered it. It's a small place but you get the feeling that it's tourist industry is sadly expanding rapidly though it's a national park so it shoudl be ok. We've just spent 3 days camping on Fraser island getting around in a crazy 4x4 van, sadly they didnt let me drive cos you have to be 21 but it was probably a good thing cos the blokes in our group seemed to know what they were doing and we didnt flip the car like so many have done before. We've been in Brisbane for the last 3 nights, staying one at a really dirty nasty place where we stayed in a room with lots of snoring japanese men but we moved the next day and have had a nice couple of days looking around brisbane which is a lot quieter than sydney with less to see but still lovely with a cool artificial beach where we went paddling!
