Hello!

we are in golden bay, in the small city of takaka by the Abel Tasman National park. we are only staying one night as there isn't much to do if you have and aversion to walking like we do...

tomorrow we are off to stay in greymouth, only for one night as it is really only a stop of to the glaciers. But we are hoping to stay in an animal themed hostel called noahs ark which we were told about in Fiji.

yesterday we were in nelson and spent the day doing a wine tasting which was fun as we got some yummy food as well and witnessed some of the elderly members in our group get very drunk. today we had a pretty (but scary) journey to takaka over takaka hill which is really a huge mountain. We also had a drive to some beautiful but windy beaches and a spring.

Before we got to the south island we stayed a night in wellington where we all got a tattoo (!) and spent the evening winning both rounds of bingo in the hostel bar!!!

we are having a great time and seeing lots of lovely things as well as spending all our money on expensive and scary activites...
