Little Mick's Hunny Harem Extravanganza
Hi All,
Well I'm sure my mother and other sensible ones that are reading this would be glad to hear that I have calmed down and am not partying or going mad - but that would just be a lie, so I'll continue with the truth!
After doing the parachute jump I thought that things would calm down in NZ, but they just continue to get crazy. I joined a new bus and we headed towards river valley. Before getting their we made a couple of stops to see some nice views of Mount doom from the lord of the rings and a waterfall.
Nathan the bus driver was telling us that in the summertime people on the bus would jump off of the waterfall into the river below. Well that was like a red rag to a bull and I just had to strip off. I was looking down for 15 minutes or so thinking will I or won't I when Paul another dude on the bus said that he was going to do it. That was enough for me, so I started to strip down to me boxers! To my surprise a canadian girl called Clare also stripped down (well all bar the trousers as she'd white knickers on - so she said). The next thing a little step and jump and then plunge into freezing cold water - talk about taking my breath away. When i resurfaced I swam as quick as I could to get out. The rest of the bus could not believe that the 3 of us jumped in! That was one way to get known on a new bus!
We got to River valley that evening and bagan playing a drinking game called up the river, down the river! Quite apt considering my jump into a river! 3 jugs of beer later and I was getting tipsy. The rugby was then on the box, so we all watched that. To be honest it was not the best match and does not fill me with confidence for the test matches.
The next morning I had to be up at 8:30, so when I managed to get out of it at 8:45 I had no time for breakfast and just went off horse riding. As usual I got the good horse and had to spend the morning trying to stay on him! The horse riding was good and the views were fantastic again (although it was a bit overcast).
We left the river valley about 1ish and headed for Wellington. We didn't get to town until gone 6, so it was quite a long journey. We are staying at the Base in Wellington so they had happy hour from 6 till 9. $3 a pint or $2 for a vodka or bourbon. Of course I had all 3 along with several more rounds. We eneded up satying their for the night although my plan had been to see some of the Irish bars - that will have to be done tonight.
Nathan (the bus driver) has a ticket for the game on Tuesday down in Invercargil and has said I can have it if I want, but it is as South as you can go on the South Island and I am still on the north island. I am getting the boat across tomorrow morning and will see if I can make it down, but it seems like a lot of travelling, so I might not bother.
Well that's all my news for now. Hope all working at Access are well and are getting five minutes to have a look at the site now and again.
