Little Mick's Hunny Harem Extravanganza
Hi all,
Well I am another week into my travels and have quite a bit to update you all on. Friday night was a serious session in Wellington that ended at around 3:30. Up again to get on the bus and boat for 8am. Whilst on the boat myself and another girl called Kelly were talking about getting to Christchurch for the first test match. Our bus wouldn't get there in time, so we got talking to three other girls from Ipswich (Amy, Polly and Georgie) who were also on about ditching the bus and do their on thing. We decided to hire a car for a week which works out at 5pounds a day. once off the boat we left the kiwi bus and headed for the car hire place. 30 minutes later and we were on our own road trip headin for Westport - not Co. Mayo, but on the west coast of the south island.
It was a long and tedious drive with very windy roads, plus the fact that I had to listen to Britney spears most of the way!!!. We checked into a hostel in Westport cooked a quick feed and headed out to watch the rugby! The girls all went home after the match, but I met a couple called Helen and Martin who were from England and stayed out with them for a few beers. It was an early enough night. The next day we wanted to white water raft, but we couldn't as it was Sunday, so we jumped in the car and headed for Fran Josef. We got their and met another kiwi bus load. Myself and Kelly booked ourselves on the glacier hike for the next day with most of the kiwi bus and Polly and Amy booked them selves on the half day tour.
The glacier hike was awesome, but very tiring. We left at 9am and didn't get back until 6:30 in the evening. We climed through glacier caves, crevazes and all sorts of mad stuff. I slipped near the end and gave my knee a right wallop! Nevermind a session was on the cards that night for a well done hike! I was in one of the two bars in the town wearing a celtic top when a Dub (Mick) started chatting to me. I joined him and his friend (coloum) and got talking to them about where in Cork the family are from. As the usual chat goes the family are from Cork, where in Cork, Mallow, where around Mallow etc etc. Coloum's father was only from Lombardstown and two of his uncles Dennis and Eddie Kearney (I think) still live around there! Small world. We finished up around 3am and headed back to the hostel. The next morning we didn't have to check out until 10 which was cool as the kiwi crowd had to leave on the bus at 7:30. We passed the bus on the way to queenstown.
As usual I was driving as Kelly was too hung over and had to get sick along the way! She managed to sober up to drive for the last hour of a five hour trip and we reached queenstown at 4:30. I needed to get to the bank to pay for the two tickets I got for the last test in Auckland - I know can you believe it I got two tickets off of a website over here (a bit like ebay) for $200 (about 100 sterling).
Any way the girls were driving around the town not knowing where they were going or what they were doing, so I decided to jump out before they drove me mad. They were heading to the prime bar so I told them I would meet them there or else they should meet me back at the bank. I went to the bank and then waited outside for 30 minutes. No sign of the girls so I walked over to the bar they were calling to (I could see it from the bank). I went in their and no sign off them their so I asked the waitress if she had seen four girls, 3 of them wearing lions tops. She hadn't so I left and went back to the bank. Still no sign so I walked around the town to a few of the hostels and in and out of bars to see if I could find them. Two hours later and the rugby was about to kick off so I gave up and headed to the World bar to meet Martin and Helen. I was pretty pissed off, but thought not too worry its a small town I'll meet them later.
The rugby was just about to kick off and I was looking at a big screen thinking if that guy just moved out of the way I'd have a perfect view of the match. Who was the guy only Martin Brown the dude I'd spent three weeks treking across america with. Let the session begin. We had a few beers and after the game I said I must really find the girls they have my bags, tickets, every thing. In and out of a few bars and eventually I found them - Great! I walked over said Jesus are you guys hard to find - that was it the 4 of them ripped into me having a go at me because they spent two hours driving around looking for me! Well to be honest Amy was the only one that said nothing and Georgie didn't say much either, but Kelly and Polly went balistic. For some reason they thought I wasn't looking for them and that I was in fact hiding from them. Why I would do that when they had my bags God only knows, but that's women for you. They were all pretty drunk and refused to tell me where they were staying or where my bags were. Stupid imature little cows is probably the nicest thing I can say about them. They wouldn't give me their phone number to call them the next day as they couldn't remeber their number, so I gave them my number and asked them to phone me the next day. I crashed on a couch at Martin's hotel for the night after a heavy night on the cocktails and beer.
Of course I got up this morning and no phone call. I had to spend the morning looking for them again. Luckily I bumped into a guy who was with them at the bar and asked him if he knew where they were staying. He did so off I went to get my bags. I got to their hotel room and got another b******ing, so I just said nothing collected my bags and f*cked off. Good riddens to bad f*cking news. If you ever want a trip on travelling - do not get in a car with 4 women - they will do your f*cking head in. Another good tip is if you meet 3 gilrs from Ipswich called Amy, Polly and Georgie or a girl from Leeds called Kelly walk in the other direction!
Any way I have a room I have a friend and I am now considering doing the nevis bungee jump if I can get rid of the hangover. Michael Dunford is in town so I am hoping to bump into him today. I have arranged to meet sooty in Christchurch on Saturday so that should be another good session. New Zealand is pretty cool, but isn't cheap!
I'd best sign off and will try and put some mug shots on of the gilrs another day, just so you know who to avoid!!!!
Take care all,
Michael
