Spent 4 days doing nothing apart from what we wanted, first day we stayed around the pool and generally ascertained what there was to do. Monday we went with a couple of guides through the jungle and by the time we returned you could ring out our clothes so into the shower and back to the pool. We were due to arrive at Kuala Lumpur at around 01.00 where a few passengers would disembark and the rest of us would continue to Singapore. After arriving at 07.30 at Padang Besar the Malaysian border we sat until 10.40 whilst customs and immigration procedures took place. After lunch we arrived at the Royal Town of Kuala Kangsar. This morning we woke up at Kanchanaburi station, during breakfast we approached Khwae station where we disembarked for a trip down the river under the bridge and were given a talk regarding the building of the bridge by allied prisoners under the Japanese. We then went to the death railway museum and visited the immaculately kept Don Rak War Cemetery. Returned to the train for lunch and started to head down towards Malaysia along the Gulf of Thailand.
