Well, I'm in london.
I got the train from Paris to here under the English channel which is suprisingly really a short part of the trip. The majority of it was just going through the French country side. It only took 2 hours for the whole trip and it was quite cool>
But I arrived at King's Cross station at about 3pm and then asked a one of the guys at the station how to get to get my hostel. And he said "did you get $200 for passing go?", no he didn't :) Nah he told me how to get there and I had to transfer a couple of lines to there and then it was raining when I left the station near by and for some reason it made it look like a really dodgy neighbourhood. But I went out for dinner after it had cleared up a bit and I didn't get that feeling at all after that.
But I checked in to the Hostel and I'm in a room with 15 other people, even though in the room, you should only be able to sleep about 5 but it's good for meeting people. Speaking of which, I met heaps of people tonight. There's Megan and April, who are in my room and from Sydney as well as this guy Mark from Byron bay. And then they introduced me to a couple of other guys they knew, one guy Adam who has the full on Ned Kelly style beard is a really nice guy. But they were really nice and invited me to come out with them tonight. But first I went out and got some chicken for dinner and some booze from the local shops and just bought it back to have pre drinks with them. I just got 4 big cans of heineken but it was only £4 which is like $6AUD. So I was very happy with that. Then came back and met another couple of aussies who had just got in today as well called Joel and Trevor who were both nice guys as well and drank with them for most of the night and this guy Adam and also a really nice guy from Belgium. I really want to got to Belgium now after how he and Adam described it, maybe next time. But I met some really nice people and had a really good time. It's good to be in London.
