Today was awesome. I woke up at 5am again to go to Fujikyu Highlands which is an amusement park that has roller-coasters that were the tallest, fastest and twisty turniest in the world when they were built. I slept on the bus on the way but once we got there I was wide awake. I went there two years ago when I was on exchange last time and absolutely loved it. We were going to do all of the big roller-coasters last time, but only ended up doing two of the three because it started raining. So I made the one we missed out on last time my priority.
I went with Eriko and her friends Julia and Ayaka. Who were both pretty gutsy and didn't scream all that much. Even though I just wanted to jump straight in to the big ones we did a big swing type thing first so that the girls eased in to it. Well at least me, Ayaka and Julia did it because Eriko somehow managed to lose her ticket before we'd even done the first ride, so she ended up having to buy a new one and she still doesn't know what happened to it.
Next we did Dodonpa(the fastest one) which goes 172 km/h after waiting about an hour in line for it even though it was a Monday. The music they had playing in the line was pretty funny though, it was like chilled out french style music and saying dodonpa every now and then. It was a fantastic ride though, when it takes off you really do get thrown back in your seat. It only lasted about 25 seconds I think. And because everyone had their hands up for the photo, I bought it. I'm going put it up next to the one of me, Nick, Pierre and Emily on Fujiyama from last time.
After Dodonpa we did Fujiyama(the tallest one) which is 79m tall. It is easily my favourite roller-coaster that I have ever done. Once you get to the top you have a great view of mountains and even Mt. Fuji on a good day, which we didn't have again. Then it drops and it really is an amazing feeling. The whole ride lasts for about a minute but it really is amazing.
We then went to the Haunted Hospital, except for Ayaka, which is actually really scary because as well as having the normal fake dummies with their heads missing everywhere, real actors are hired to scare you. We did it last time we were there as well and it was probably scarier last time because we didn't know what to expect. It was going to take 2 hours to wait in line and then do it so Ayaka lined up for Fujiyama again and I joined her for it at the last minute while Julia and Eriko kindly minded my place in line.
After that we were all going to the red one which is the twistiest turniest one, but by the time we got to it the line was too long so we wouldn't have been able to do it before closing time. So instead we all did Fujiyama one more time. After that we only just had enough time to get to our bus to get back home.
It was so good to go back again, I really love that place. I was saying to Eriko as we were leaving that I want to live there. It really was great fun.
