I was orignally planning on going to Lahaina today but there wasn't any availability at the hostel there until tomorrow, so I think I'll head round there then. Once again, I had breakfast, chatted to a few people and then went down checked out the waves and then went for a surf with the same board I hired yesterday. It was a little bit flatter but it was a lot easier and less effort to get on waves. Maybe I'm just finally getting some upper body strength. I did the same routine, went back to the hostel, dropped off the board on the way then grabbed lunch and chilled at the hostel for a while then went out again for another surf and gave Tim a go on the board again. I think I'm going to buy it. The Argentinian guys finally went over to Lahaina, but they needed to leave their big bags at the hostel because they wouldn't let them take them on the bus. I think I'm going to do the same thing and then pick it up on wednesday and then go to the airport to head to Oahu. I'd been talking to the Argentinian guys about renting a house and they'd been over there looking for a couple of days but hadn't found anything.
Anyway after I got back from another quite lovely surf I went and did some desperately needed washing. I only just got there before they closed but because I'd just got money out of the ATM, I only had 20s. The machines required quarters so I had to put a 20 into the change machine they had there so I ended up with 80 quarters. I got the load of washing on and then one of the people who ran the laundromat came in who was a really nice phillipino lady and she agreed to notes which was very good.
After I finished the washing, I went out and had some dinner at about 9:30 at a mexican place in town which was absolutely delicious but I couldn't eat it all. It was really nice just sitting there by myself actually, just reflecting on everything I've seen and done and the awesome people I've met. It really has been an amazing experience.
I then just went back to the hostel where I met some more nice people. One was a French guy who was a graphic designer but is also quite an awesome photographer. He showed me some of his stuff on his laptop as well as the photos he'd taken in the last few days, it was really cool.
It was quite an awesome day overall.
