Today was a nice day at Anaëlle's grandma's place. I spent most of the day eating, as Anaëlle's grandma was just enjoying having another mouth to feed. She is a very good cook and from what Anaëlle has told me, she really enjoys it as well. We had rabbit for lunch, which was suprisingly quite nice. It tastes like a nicer juicier version of chicken. It's really fiddly to eat because of the little bones though. The whole time I was thinking of my childhood rabbit 'flopsy', it was actually quite hard to get the image out of my mind, I guess that's why we don't eat rabbits in Australia.
After lunch I went for a drive with Anaëlle's mother and grandmother around town to see the countryside, while listening to Coldplay. It's quite nice countryside around here really.
After that I spent ages just stroking Anaëlle's grandma's big fat cat, I was sitting down working on a couple of songs and then it jumped on me and gave me a look that demanded me to drop everything I was doing and give it attention.
But then for dinner was another interesting cuisine made out of pigs blood, called boudin noir. It looked like a really dark sausage but it tasted something like a mixture of bread and meat. It was quite a strong taste, but it was actually nice.
After dinner we spent the night watching three consecutive episodes of NCIS, all in french. I'd seen the first two before, so I understood what was going on in them, but the last one was quite difficult with it all being in french. Most of the french voice actors sound quite similar to the actual characters except for Gibbs, he doesn't sound anywhere near as cool.
