We have had a very hot 2 days in Palm Springs. Driving into the desert was an eye opening experience. We drove past the San Gorgonia Pass Wind Farm which had over 4000 Windmills, they have the capacity to provide all of Palm Springs electricity needs. Hot dry heat greeted us as soon as we left the car. Both days averaged at around 44 degrees. Well intentioned sight seeing was given a miss to lay by the pool and soak up the sunshine. We caught the local tram downtown both evenings for dinner. Dodgy Thai one night, awesome Mexican the next. Tomorrow we head for the bright lights of Las Vegas.
