Wyndham is a place people don't really talk about, for some reason most travelers of the Gibb go straight to Kununurra. We're very glad we did go to Wyndham, the caravan park was nice and quiet and a couple of our travel companions were there too. A major highlight was the Five Rivers Lookout, it was amazing, you can see the King River, Ord River, Pentecost River and Forrest River and the mud flats they created all from the lookout. We also visited another Prison Boab tree, this one is not as well known as the one in Derby. Another amazing place that has world significance is the Parry Lagoons Nature Reserve where there is a bird sanctuary with amazing bird life and the odd croc. We witnessed a croc grab a bird while we were there, just after I put the camera down!
We also drove the Old Halls Creek road, 13K of old dirt road that for a good part still has the stone curbing along it that was laid in the 1930s.
We also visited an area of Aboriginal rock art and another gorge.
All in all we spent two days looking around before taking the Old Wyndham/Kununurra road that takes you over Ivanhoe Crossing, a curved ford across the Ord River

Denise Granger Wow. Wish l was there with you both. Sounds of time, rude, and the whole road is before you. Sounds both having great time together. Awesome times. Nothing better then travelling around your own country. Take it all in slowly. Love keeping up with you both this away.thanks.
