What a change of landscapes! After heading back to Merzouga on our camels, which proved very sore for the males on the 2nd day it was a big car day. We went over the High Atlas and to Midelt where we had some great Baguettes for lunch before heading through the Middle Atlas, where we ended up in Azrou for the night. The middle Atlas are green and fertile with cedar trees and the towns have far more French influence. We tried one of the local restaurants and the patisserie in the morning. The temperatures were far colder!

We then headed to Fes about an hour away and made our way to our Riad, which is amazing, an old palace! We said goodbye to Abdul and spent the rest of the day relaxing, catching up on email and exploring the souks!
