Today was drearily uninteresting. We spent another millennia in the vortex where time stands still and planes seldom leave (Manila Airport) and made our way to Puerto Princesa.
Asia Airways seem to love making customers shudder - they always include a complimentary dicey take off and landing, whether due to turbulence or pilot boredom I don't rightly know. But, we did get there and we were alive so we can't complain too much (they're rubbish though).
When we arrived in Puerto Princesa it was already very dark. Setting out in search of some much needed sustenance took us past a modern looking basketball court that was teeming with Filipinos! Basket ball is their national sport and they all go crazy for it!
Eventually we found a fantastic eating establishment that suited our needs just fine; McDonald's. Now before you snigger or roll your eyes, a McDonald's is a crucial aspect of any travellers' itinerary: it opens your eyes to the culture differences of a country, let's you into the diversity of their culture but most importantly they all have different dips to home which is always just super exciting!
Full to the gills with Coke and a new and raunchy Nugget BBQ dip we went back to our hotel to await our mini van in the morning to El Nido.
