We spent 9 until 3:45 in a library planning where we wanted to go after Fiji as you need an exit flight in order to enter the country so it looks like we're going to the Philippines! It looks grotesquely beautiful and I can't wait to get over there, I won't say too much on what we have planned as I like to keep you in suspense!
Researching all the things available and picking what you fancy is a drag but it's much more fun than what chelsea does, which is read the small print on the visa applications and flight details and things. She's a good egg. If it was me I'd just book it and turn up hoping that everything would go swimmingly, so it's definitely good that there's a sensible one amongst us.
After much planning, printing and price checking we left the library and headed out for Whangarei. Ideally we would have gone to Pai Hia but it was just too long a drive so we decided to stop off on route again.
Whangarei is pretty green and right on the coast though there isn't much to do. The free car park we're in is okay though, it's secluded at the top of a mountain so it's quite pretty. It also has the novelty and delight of Germima and Bob - the world's prettiest chickens. I fed them some cereal and they have followed me everywhere ever since. I went for a wee while they stood sentinel and cleaned their beaks in the gravel. Bob was utterly smitten when I said how beautiful his plumage was!
Roll on tomorrow, today has dragged.
