Hi all! Finally managed to get a chance to get on a computer that lets us access our blog! Thanks in the meantime for all the messages you have been sending, they always make us smile :)
We have had a very busy week, last week we visited Colca Canyon which is the deepest canyon in the world. We saw condors flying up really close there and got some good pictures.
We are now in Cusco staying in a nice hotel (a good change from camping!)...last week we met up with our friend Graeme (Mr Keir to all the pupils!) who happened to be in cusco at the same time as us. We helped him celebrate his birthday so that was good fun!
On Monday we set off to do the Inca Trail...4 days of really tough uphill hiking, made even harder by the fact we were really high up (4500m above sea level) so not much oxygen...I´m pretty sure our heart rate was in its training zone for the whole 4 days - pay attention Miss Smith´s Int 1 and 2 pupils! Gayle did so well as she has asthma so it´s more of a struggle for her. We had very sore legs by the end but we were rewarded by the view in the picture above - Machu Picchu, an ancient Inca city. It was spectacular and well worth the sore legs, chest pain, camping in the rain and very smelly squat toilets!
We got back yesterday afternoon and had a shower (the first since Sunday, yuck!) and then we headed out with our group for a night out, Graeme also joined us too with his classic dance moves :)! We have a couple of days just to chill in Cusco so are just catching up on things and hope to get our pics uploaded soon as we have bought a card reader.
We are meeting Graeme for coffee soon and have a meeting later to see what we are doing for the next couple of weeks (hopefully find out where we´ll be for Rach´s birthday too!)

p.s. just tried uploading a few pics and it worked...will do the rest tomorrow afternoon! off to meet mr keir for coffee!
